Sunday in October

It is a beautiful day in Kentucky today. Low humidity, temperatures in the low 80's and beautiful sunshine outside. Nary a cloud in the sky. Earlier I took the girls out to enjoy the weather.

I rode the golf cart to see the horses with Annie and Sophie in tow. Thankfully the horses were in a frisky mood. Maybe the flies are getting better. They have been really bad this year.

Hey Dakota, let's go!

Whew! They finally settled down in the back pasture under some trees. They sure did stir up a dust bowl.

The horses look beautiful. Looks like it was a dry year though.

Horses in motion are the most gorgeous creatures on earth, i think. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to start lessons tomorrow!

I agree with Molls. Beautiful. The only time my gelding runs is when Betty takes his mate, Gletta, out and he gets left at home. Then he runs around the lot like a crazy man - but it's fun to watch.

They sure do look like they are having fun!! I love watching horses run and play! They can be so funny.

It's super dusty here too! We could use a little rain.

It's so dusty you can hardly see those horsies in the last picture.

Amazing pictures - my family used to live in Lexington for a short time and I loved the long winding roads that lead to the horse country.
