Flower?.....Pretty Flower???

Who else loves that line from Bambi? I can remember when I first saw Bambi at the theater in downtown Paducah. Awwww, those were the days.

Yesterday I finally got by my favorite nursery, Wurth Farms, and found some great flowers. I planted them this evening. I tried to get all of the colors I could find. What do you think?

I also finally planted my herbs...that is, what is left of them. Parsley and one lonely basil plant.

This is a Jade plant I bought for myself for Mother's Day a few weeks back.

I got a bit dizzy taking that picture. As I looked at this post I realized there are several items that need to be picked up on my porch. I am sure my brother has already noticed and it is no doubt causing him much anxiety. He is a bit OCD don't ya know. I'll have to pen a 'honey-do list' for my sweet husband next week. Speaking of my husband he told me today that he hates that I have to go back to work Monday. He told me that he has had so much fun with me this week. Isn't shat sweet? I have had fun too. I love to have a partner in life that I truly enjoy being with. That's what isn't all about isn't it?

Lovin' your flowers! You did a great job on them! I really need to get some potted flowers going.
That is so sweet that Joe doesn't want you to go back to work! I love it!

Flowers. Purty.

I had to scroll back up to see the items that need to be picked up. I didn't even notice them.

Great flowers. I remember seeing Bambi and found it sad. I guess the death of animals got to me.

Very nice. This is a good time of the year when everything is fresh.

you know, after i became an adult (HAHA!) i realized that the disney movies have entirely too much death in them. i remember watching black beauty with jessica when she was six and i was BAWLING like a crazy person. she thought it was funny.

i lurve your flowers, i love all colors being together like that. the basil i couldn't see, is it small? do you have parsley or cilantro in there with it? it's interesting to me that you have your flowers and herbs all living together like that.

Piglet, the basil isn't very large now. The rest in there is parsley. Everything else just about croaked.

I like the way the flowers turned out too. After I potted them Joe said "I didn't know you were going to put the all in the same pot." I was like duuuhhhhhhh!

Gorgeous flowers. I've also been doing container flowers because I have slugs in the garden. By July, most of my flowers are eaten up. But it takes them a little longer to make it into the containers. So we're good til about early August!
That's funny that you didn't notice that your porch needed tidying up til you saw the picture. That happens to me too. Pictures kind of condense everything so it's easier to see things!

Do the dogs try to eat your flowers? Chef sniffs them but he knows better now not to pee on them or eat them!
