Awwwww Vacation Time!

Today starts a week off of work for me. It has been almost a year since I have had any time off of work. And I am definitely ready. Yesterday evening I took Annie out to give the horses some carrots. They love their carrots.

They are way out there. But it didn't take but a couple of minutes, if that, for them to stroll to the fence line.

I love that picture. It just might be my new banner.

Yo Mom....you got something for me?

Of course Jones was more of a lady and patiently waited for her carrots.

I gave Annie a piece of carrot to play with. See it laying on the ground?

While Dakota was trying to get Annie's carrot I took that opportunity to give Jones her carrots. That way the bully won't get in my way.

While I was out there I took a picture of the side of the house that we have been sitting. It's where I took these pictures the other day.

This one is the front of our house. Some people say it is the back of the house but it is the one with the doors and windows. The back faces the road so I guess that is why they say that.

I took this next to the front pasture fence. You can see why I say "going up the hill to see the horses."

We are staying home this week. In a way I am glad because I can get some good rest. I will however miss seeing my precious grandbabies in Ohio. There is always next time.

Hey TB. You asked about planting roses in the sun. They actually love sun! I found this link -- I'm sure there are hundreds, but it's the first thing that popped up -- and it tells you a little about it. To some people, roses sound rather intimidating, but I've found them very easy to grow. Planting is easy, just keep them pruned a bit and spray for aphids. Oh, and water. Come up with a system for that. Here's the link: http://ohioline.osu.edu/hyg-fact/1000/1212.html

Email me if you have any more questions:)

Gotta love a vacation! I hope you enjoy it and get some time to relax!
I love how Annie got a carrot too, Sadie always manages to steal a carrot as we are feeding them to the horses, she will actually eat the whole thing.
Dakota and Jones are beautiful as always!
