Our Pond

DSC03808DSC03807DSC03806

The realtor said it was an acre, I don't care cause I love it. My husband stocked it with baby crappie, catfish and bass. They are all grown up now and aching to be caught (not really but they NEED to be thinned out).
Sometimes during the spring and summer it is almost like you're at the lake. I love to see the little ripples in the water and hear the calming sound it makes. We occasionally get some Canadian geese or some ducks that drop in for a day or two but they never stay long. I reckon they have other places to be.
Abby caught her first (and so far only) fish in our pond with her Papa Joe helping her. She caught a nice sized crappie. I don't really care about fishing, I can't stand to touch a fish. It creeps me out in a large way. I end up dropping the poor thing because it is slimy. I can bait a hook with a worm though. Just one of my many talents.

I went fishing with Dad once. We left in the boat at 5AM and were gone hours. It was THE most boring thing I have EVER done.
