Meet Riley

This is one of Sophie's pups. Steph's real dad bought him and she named him after the last name of a friend of hers. Isn't he a doll?

He was recently boarded at a kennel when his daddy was in the hospital. Joe took him there for my X. When Joe got back he was telling me how filthy the place was and how he would never take our babies there. There were 5 horses in a round pen that was really muddy and 2 of them were laying down. When Riley got home he had lost a lot of weight. Joe said that when he took him there the person in charge said "There is that hyper one." We feel that poor Riley was put in a kennel and forgotten about for 5 days. His daddy took him to the vet yesterday and they said he was malnourished, just as we suspected. I don't know about my X but if it was my babies treated that way that whole place would be hearing my mouth. NOBODY treats my babies that way and gets away with it.

He will be fine now but the thought of what could have happened scares me. Needless to say, his daddy said he would never go back there. I would turn them in. In fact I still might. There are no telling how many other pets are treated that way.

Those poor animals rely on us to be their voices. I agree that this place should be investigated.

You have a very nice blog site, lots of pretty country and horse pictures. We live on a farm with 3 horses, cattle, deer and turkey. Big towns are nice to visit, but give me small towns and country life.

So, you should definitely research what to do to have that kennel / torture place closed down.

Hi, Havent been by in a while and thought I would catch up. Your critters are so blessed to have you for their Mom. I love the pic of your doggy running down to great you when you arrived home. Poor Riley, I would turn them in for sure. It breaks my heart to think of a poor defensless animal or child being mistreated like that. How can people be so heartless? I will be in your home state this weekend. I am going to a women of AA retreat At Marydale Retreat Center in Erlanger. Hope the weather is as nice as it was last year!
