Anyone Home?

Sophie at door
Hello?? Anyone home??
I love this picture of Sophie. I hope you can see her face. You'll need to look way past the "dog kisses" on the glass. I really do try to keep the glass on our doors clean but it is like a dog chasing its tail, pardon the pun. Sophie is an excellent guard dog. She barks when a leaf blows or a bird comes to look in the glass door. Then there is always the times the evil grass moves ever so slightly. She alerts us to all things that move or make noises outside.

In our master bathroom there is a large mirror that hangs over the double sinks. The girls love to follow me to the potty. I guess they are still amazed at how we do our business. Anyway, I taught Sophie a trick that is starting to get annoying now. I taught her to jump up, see herself in the mirror then bark like there's no tomorrow. Now she does it every time she goes in there. When she barks Annie starts in and they must go see what is going on. She is a smart dog but apparently not smart enough to know she is barking at herself. But then, when a blade of grass is getting aggressive she certainly lets us know about it!

What is it about evil grass? I love your humor.

That would scare the shit out of me!

I remember the evil grass, all six acres I used to have to mow.

That expression on her face is fantastic.
I guess having a dog leap up to bark at the bathroom mirror would keep you regular. Scare it right out of you.
