Well, the fun's over. It's back to work for me today. Actually it wasn't that bad. Even though I did have a bit of trouble going to sleep last night. I was still on vacation time in my brain. When the alarm went off this morning I heard the birds chirping outside. What a welcoming way to wake up. We have a family of barn swallows building a nest right outside our front door. It will be interesting to see what happens when they have eggs and we walk outside. Hummmm.
I am hoping the weather keeps up like it has been. But I know that one day we will wake up and summer will be here overnight. It happens every year. But I tell ya what. I was looking through some pictures of our ice storm this year and I'm not going to complain about hot weather. Enough said about that!

It is always hard to get to sleep after a vacation. It sounds like you are taking it in stride!

I've always hated the first day back to work after a long vacation! It is no fun!
I have tried that smiling at strangers to see how many smile back, the percentage is really high.
well - it is summer here already 100+ degrees!!
i am not a huge fan of vacations, but as a teacher i already get designated days off - SO, i try NOT to use a substitute, they are usually hard to clean up after.
