SNOW DAY!!!!!!!!

We got at least 4" at my house last night. Last night I told my family that no matter what I was not going to work today. I needed time off. If need be I would call in sick (something I never do unless I am actually sick). Steph finally told me "Ok Mom, we get it!" Guess what I did when my alarm went off this morning? I got out of bed, got ready for work and was ready to hit the road until.........until I walked up the hill to start my car and the car door was frozen shut. My car had tons of snow on it. I stood there in the early morning hour of 6am, looked at the yard, driveway and fields next to us. It was then I decided NO WAY!

I came inside and turned on the local news. The main roads were slushy but I still thought "I can make it the 6 miles on the narrow country roads to the main road. It will be ok." I then came inside and called my boss who told me to not worry about it, work is slow today and if I didn't want to risk it don't worry about it. I decided right then and there that I was staying home for the day. I mean really, if your boss tells you to use your own judgement and stay home then I think I can do that.

So a snow day it is for me. I am headed up the other hill to check on Jones' water and see how she is doing. Then I will come back inside and enjoy the day. Oh, I will also take pictures of the beautiful winter wonderland that makes up our property. Naturally I will post them as pictures are what I love to do.
