Remember this?

It has been fixed, or so the road department says. I'm not too sure.

After driving over it a few times it feels real soft. I don't know why they do such a halfway job on these roads. If they would just take the time to fix them right the first time they could probably forget about it for a while.

They pushed a great deal of rock to the side and almost into the creek. I can just see Jones right now as I try to get her to cross it. There is no way she will and you know what? There is no way I would even try to make her.

On another note our neighbors Mr and Mrs Cannon have sold all but 7 of their Texas Longhorn cattle. I'm gonna miss these guys.

But the ice storm we had in late January did it. It caused so much damage that had to be cleaned up. Mr and Mrs Cannon have had enough of it. They just couldn't keep up with the work anymore. Mrs Cannon cried when the guy came to get the cattle. She didn't want to let them go but she knew she had too.

Sometimes you do what you have to do. But it's ok. It always works out.

I love coming over here every morning and getting my fix of the country life. Bad roads and all. So sad about the cattle:( I'm glad she got to keep a few of them.

Sure hope they fix that road better before the winter. Beautiful picture of the longhorns. I feel bad she had to sell them. To much of that going on for different reasons. Have a good day!

I hope that the cattle will be okay. Are they going to another farm? Not to the slaughter house I hope.

They are going to another farm but I'm not sure where.

Yep, that road fix is pretty sad. A couple of good rains and you'll have quite a rut or even hole there.

Sad, about the cattle, but as you said you sometimes have to do what you need to do.

Love the Longhorn cattle, sorry to hear she had to sell them.
That road doesn't look fixed to me! What were they thinking?
