Dreams, what do they mean?

Indeed I was glad to wake up this morning. The dogs had to go do their business early and I am glad they chose me to let them out because it forced me to wake up out of a horrible dream.

I was dreaming of turmoil and death. My family and I were caught up in a giant storm which included winds, rains and things flying around in a bizarre fashion. It was a very dramatic and real dream. Of course, we were helpless to Mother Nature which I liken to today and the events that will unfold.

Dreams are a strange thing. I dream, literally, every night. If I were to take the time to write my dreams down every morning there is no telling what that writing would offer. I have been this way as long as I can remember. Many times I wish I would not dream and get a better night's sleep.

I was able to go back to sleep for a bit and did not pick the dream back up. That happens sometimes also. Sometimes it is good and sometimes it is not. Dreams are such a strange thing. The mind itself is very strange. It gives me food for thought.

I dreamt the other night I was getting in drag and when I looked in the mirror I was Asian. Go figure.

Is your blood sugar OK? I used to sleep fitfully too. Now my blood sugar is great and I sleep like a log all night, nothing bothers me. I have 8 roosters right outside my bedroom window and a peacock in the throes of breeding season in the tree above it. Sometimes my son has a roomful of friends over to play a rowdy game of Monopoly until the wee hours and I never hear them. Or maybe I'm just getting old and am losing my senses. Now I only dream of trail rides, and that's great. I'll wish the same for you.

I dream every night too. I asked my husband if he dreams and he says he never does. I had this horrible one the other night about me in a canoe with my friends having a grand old time, when we came upon another canoe that was up on a bank with three dead bodies laying next to it. It was very graphic!!! I woke up all upset and didn't want to go back to sleep!! I have some dreams that I have over and over again. Dreames that I have had since I was little. I think dreams are interpertive pictures and such of what our minds thinks. Does that even make any sense?? No? Okay, it didn't to me either. Sigh.....

TB, I'm not an expert and I don't put much credence in the meaning of dreams. I know God can use dreams, but there are for His purposes and it's pretty clear when it happens. These kinds of dreams, I believe, are your minds way of doing a "memory dump" to help you deal with what's going on around you. All you can do is offer them up to God and keep on plugging.

Regards,

Dan

Dreams are weird, aren't they? Sometimes I don't remember them, other times, I vividly remember them and they seem SO real. I can usually wake myself up during a particularly scary one. I hate falling back to sleep and back into a scary dream!

Dreams sure can be bizarre. I'm glad your dogs woke you up from a scary one.
BTW, what kind of business are your dogs in? I think it's great that they get up early to go to work. For years I had a cat or two, and they would never lift a finger to bring in any income. With cats it's always me me me.
