Monday didn't turn out like I thought it would

I have had an area on the back of my skull, just above the hairline that has been bothering me for a few weeks. About 1 1/2 weeks ago it really started acting up. I was not sure at all what it was so yesterday my wonderful Dr Turnbo squeezed me into his busy schedule to take a look at it.

I left work leaving 1/2 of a diet big K cola and the rest of my fish oil tablets on my desk and told them "I'll be back in a bit." Well, it didn't happen like that. When the dr saw it he decided that it needed to be surgically removed. He put me in the hospital and within hours I was put under and the evil area removed. They sent it off to be evaluated and I should know something in the next couple of weeks, I hope.

I got home about 2 hours ago and was I ever glad to see Annie and Sophie. Sophie would not stop smelling my clothes. She was funny cause she would stand on her back legs and sniff as long as her legs would hold up, then she would repeat it.

I will go to the surgeon's office next week to have the stitches removed and hopefully my medical drama crap will be over for a while. I tell ya, that turning 50 has kicked my arse! I am however thankful that it was a relatively easy surgery and all came out OK. I will be able to return to work tomorrow and maybe, just maybe life can be somewhat normal for a while.

I've been thrown in the hospital to have a toe cut off. What a rude surprise! Wouldn't you much prefer a surprise bouquet of flowers? A box of something wonderful? Even a juicy secret? I'll be praying for you, too.

I hope everything is going to be alright! Glad to hear you are back form the hospital and doing well. Trials and tribulations of getting older I suppose. Oi I'm not looking forward to it!

Wow, glad that you went to the Doc. I hope that the results are favorable. Turning 50 isn't too bad--at least not yet.

Glad you are home with your babies. Mine always like to snuggle with me when I am not feeling well. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Glad you went to see about it. It's always better to know what something is or is not, than to hope it will get better on its on.

Bad surprise indeed, but what a good doc! Sounds like the dogs didn't smell anything suspicious, so that is a good omen.

How was the hospital food?

Wow. I guess that was a bit of a shocker. I'm glad he squeezed you in and the surgery part is over!! Aren't you glad you didn't have time to worry about the surgery. I hope it was nothing serious.

Bill, the food was 'hospital' food. Enough said.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. When I find out what it was I will let you know.

I know how it feels. I just a\had another one of my 5 admitted into the hospital. No one knows what is wrong with her, she keeps passing out - heart rate and o2 levels drop drastically...

It has sure been a crazy year! I hope all turns out ok with you.
