I could get used to it real easy

Seeing Ryan like he was yesterday that is. I had several errands to run yesterday but none as important as going to see my son. He has been at Lifeline since last Monday and I have never seen him look so happy before. He is settling right in and getting into the program. The classes officially start tomorrow but he is already feeling right at home. In fact he told me that he is exactly where he needs to be. He wants to get sober and stay sober. He wants to get right with the Lord.

We sat inside the dining room with the other folks there. Ryan had a bowl of chili and crackers and I had a long look at a sober son. He has a long way to go mind you, but he is finally getting the help he needs.

I stayed about an hour then left to finish my other errands. I told him that I might bring Annie to see him next weekend depending on the weather. It is supposed to be really cold the latter part of the week so we shall see. I think it would do he and Annie a lot of good to see each other. She has always had a really special bond with Ryan.

The smile on my face while I type this is so big I'm sure it will be sore but that's ok. I can stand to be sore like that anytime.

Thank you all my friends for your prayers for Ryan. He really has no idea just how many people are thinking of him.

Oh that is sooo fabulous, good for Ryan! It's great to hear that he is is enthused about where he is at and where he is going. It's all about belief in ones self. Good to hear he has faith!

I'm glad for you and Ryan. And I think that a visit from Annie would be great. Nothing like a dog to light a spark with people. Have a good day smiling.
