Brother Here Reporting

I just got off the phone with Trailboss and she is doing well sans electricity. The power has been off since 11:30AM Tuesday. There are broken trees, electrical lines down and telephone poles snapped all over the area. Their land line is back in service and they get intermittent cell phone reception. They have a propane heater they are using when needed to keep the chill out.

This morning Trailboss made a wagon train breakfast of sausage and eggs and she said they ate like it had been years since they had had hot food. Stephanie has gone off to stay with her father on the other side of town since he was without power for only a day. Lisa is staying with the homestead taking care of the dogs and the horses.

She is very grateful for all they have today, that they can stay with the house and survive. She is also very appreciative of all your prayers. I am, too.

I'm sure that was one of the best-tasting breakfasts ever.

Hang in there, Little Lisa. This too shall pass, and things will be back to normal.

Thank for the update! Glad to hear they are surviving their adventure into pioneer times! Kind of makes you appreciate the simple things. I just hope they and the animals are all safe and warm!

I spoke with So this afternoon and she sounded good. She is supposed to return to work on Monday which will be a good thing. Joe was napping after bringing home a generator to which they have the fridge and freezer plugged into. Turns out being out in the cold can be pretty satisfying.
