Look what I got!

IMG_1373

I hadn't told you folks that I have been looking at this horse for a long long time. I wanted him so bad. Isn't he beautiful? I got home from work yesterday and he was waiting for me.

Joe had decided to surprise me and surprise me he did. He is young, about 2 1/2 years old and not broke yet but what a challenge. I have never broken a horse myself. I will do the ground work and will hire someone to actually break him to ride. Won't Abby look great on this fine gentleman?

Now I need to find her a saddle. Just the right tack for this beauty.

Oh, wait. Huh? What am I talking about. Oh, I am so silly. This horse is about 2 1/2 and is a beauty but I was just fooling you.

Who can tell me where you have seen this horse before?

Look familiar? Here's a closer look.

If you have looked at a lot of my photos taken in the living room of my house you would have seen this print before. I just knew So would get it.

A day of fun

Part of Saturday was spent with the horses. Abby just loves to go up and see them. She and I hung around the barn for a while. We took the girls with us of course.

Annie is getting back to her old self. She even played with Sophie a bit. That is the first time she has played that much since she has been sick.

They wanted to go inside the pasture but we never ever let them do that. Dakota wouldn't mind but Jones would not like it at all. We sure don't want any hurt pups so they stay by the gate.

IMG_1161

Hello Jones. What are you doing today?

IMG_1168

I'll go see Grandmother.

She is fine Grandmother. Dirty but fine.

Uh oh......ear alert. See her ears pinned back? I think she has had enough of this small human petting her.

IMG_1196

I quickly scooped her up and took her back to the bench in front of the barn. Dakota decided to get his share of lovin' cause he never gets tired of it.

We gave the horses some fresh water. Jones had to be the first to get a drink naturally.

Dang Jones! Is it bitter? Look at her lip. How funny is that?

Tater Day

Here in West Kentucky the first Monday is April is Tater Day. I have actually never been to Tater day but lots of folks flock to Benton, Ky to attend. This year Joe took Stephanie. She bought a hat there for $4. That is about all it is worth in my opinion. I don't really like the hat, or I should say what the Confederate flag represents in some areas. Stephanie doesn't think like that, she is just a redneck and likes how it looks. Just so you all understand that she is not prejudice against anyone, especially blacks. In fact, her Godmother is a black woman. With that said, she had some fun with the pups last week.

Here Sophie, let me help you with that bothersome hat.

IMG_1057

Oh man! Now I have to wear it!

IMG_1061

NO! I'm not going!
