Say it isn't so, Joe

to quote a woman from Alaska whom I do not really care for at all.

This time last year my area came to a very quick halt due to a horrible ice storm that crippled the entire area. I wrote about it here and as far as I'm concerned I want to forget it ever happened. But alas, that is not possible. We did, after all, learn quite a few things during those looong days with no electricity, running water or heat. One thing being that I was grateful for was being blessed with my family. We made it through and were better because of it. Now the weather service is predicting several inches of snow with a chance of ice mixed in. Oh boy, what fun.

Joe came into town this morning and ran all of my errands I was going to do at lunch. Now all I have to do is warm up my bowl of chicken noodle soup and relax for 45 minutes. I am so grateful to have him. He is a wonderful man. I got lucky on round 3. He's definitely a keeper!

So, here in a few minutes I will relax a bit, eat my soup and then get back into the grind. I still love my job, I just don't particularly care for the cart that was put before the horse. Long story, don't want to get into it. Let's just say it has made my job a lot harder and busier. Not that I mind being busy, I would prefer that over having nothing to do anyday. It is a bit challenging though.

I hope everyone is doing well. I have not been posting near as much but do try to visit my favorite blogs daily. I wish whoever keeps taking hours out of the day where I don't have time to do everything I need to do would put that time back. I mean really. How rude!

I'm struck by a couple of things in this post. First, how time flies. It seems like only a couple months ago that you were writing about that ice storm. And second, how long I've been reading your blog -- probably a couple years. I hadn't realized we've been blogging friends that long:)

I'd say the third time is definitely the charm for you!

Hope that the grind eases up for you.

I hope that weather passes you by! We are supposed to get back to winter here tomorrow, too. It's been gloriously warm and sunny, though, and that is nice to the freezing weather we had.

Hope you don't lose power again and that the snowy weather won't cause too many problems.

Hmmm, no snow until this afternoon. It took a while, but it finally arrived. I'm interested to see how much we actually get after all of the hype.
