Good things

I went to the dr's office this morning for a 3 hour test to see if I am diabetic. It wasn't nearly as bad as I had imagined. The cold orange sweet drink I drank while there was quite refreshing. After it was all over it was determined that I in fact do not have diabetes. My sugar reading was normal. I am very grateful for that item.

After I left the dr's office I was starving so I stopped to eat. After I sat down my cellphone rang. It was Joe. He and Steph had precious cargo and wondered what I was doing. Are you wondering what precious cargo is? Allow me to show you

I am sure you had already guessed anyway. They stopped by McDonald's for lunch and playing on the playground before heading home.

Tomorrow we plan on packing a picnic lunch and heading to LBL to the Nature Center. LBL stands for Land between the Lakes. The weather is supposed to be so beautiful we decided to take full advantage of it. Joe doesn't know about the picnic yet. I just thought of it this afternoon. Doesn't that sound like a day of fun?

I hope everyone remembers to be grateful for what they have today. I know I am.

That sounds like so much fun! The orange drink is the same one they give to pregnant women to figure out if you have gestational diabetes. I remember taking it and having to wait for 3 hours. The hardest part was the waiting. Fortunately for me if I ever get preggers again we run that test here in the office. I won't even have to take time off, I can just continue to work.
Have fun this weekend!

Good news on your tests. I was born in Tennessee so I'm very familiar with LBL. It's a beautiful area. We also loved Reelfoot Lake, especially in the winter when the eagles are there.

Awww. I recognize precious cargo when I see it! You are blessed to have them live near you. My first granddaughter arrived this week...so precious and special. I see you have 2 more on the way...how fun!
