We received a phone call from the owner of one of Sophie's puppies yesterday. It seems she had misplaced her paperwork to have her pup registered with the AKC so she and her husband stopped by. Guess who they brought with them! Meet Boozer.
His owner assured me he is not an alcoholic and I don't really know how that came up with that name but he is a doll isn't he?
He and his momma played in the yard for a while and he had fun just looking around at a new place, new smells and all things that dogs love.
Then it was time for water, LOTS of water.
These pictures speak for themselves. It's about a Momma seeing her baby grown up and how great is it that dogs never forget where they come from. Annie was in the background resting after playing as well. But Boozer and Sophie could not keep from loving on each other.
I guess they are finally satisfied that enough loving has been accomplished.
Wait, I think I spoke too soon.
One last lick from Momma.
I cannot tell you how wonderful it was to see this puppy so beautiful, so happy and so well mannered. We are grateful that all the pups went to great homes. Well, there is one we are working on to get the owner to take him to obedience school but I don't want to get into that right now.

They are both fixed now but Sophie had a litter of 7 boys last June 2nd. One didn't make it, he was born without a rectum. Surgery was done but he was miserable so we had to make the decision to put him down at about 8 weeks. His name was Roger and he looked just like his momma. He is buried by our flag. Joe is in the process of putting #3 rock around it, it will be where we bury all our babies. We already have Roger's granite marker ready to put in once it is all fixed up. I will try to find some pictures of the puppies. I lost a lot of pictures when my computer was upgraded.'
Boozer looks so much like his daddy. Yes, he is a beauty!
What a handsome boy! And what beautiful, happy, loving pictures. Made my eyes tear up.
How special that mommy and son got to hang out again! He's a pretty boy. I noticed he kept one of his paws on top of hers....too cute.
I'm not really sure what heart cockles are, but mine are feeling pretty warm right now.
Oh those pictures are so sweet!
I think I'd like to have a boxer some day. They seem like fun, vigorous, happy dogs. Kind of like a pug, onl bigger and with a snout! haha!
