Beef......Served in Kansas

Today was Father's Day as we all know and Joe wanted something really good to eat for supper. I was glad to oblige. After careful harvesting of some banana peppers yesterday from our garden I was most pleased to be able to put together a dish easy to make but ever so good.

Yes, I know that my crock pot has stains on it. That is because I USE it a lot. Or at least I used to. The previous owner of our house left it behind and it has been my pleasure to utilize it to my benefit.

Now for a bit of liquid.....I just grabbed a diet cola. It works well.

All it needs to do now is cook on high in the crock pot for about 6 hours.

Then about 5pm we had this:

Now I don't pretend to be able to do this as well as Pioneer Woman but it did turn out to be pretty dadgum good. So good that I forgot to take a picture of the beef sitting upon the perfectly broiled bun with the melted provolone cheese. Just picture it in your mind, you know you can do it.

It was ever so good and we ate and ate. Too bad you guys didn't come for dinner. I know I sent the invitations. But alas, no RSVPs arrived. Oh well, maybe next time!

I salute you on that dinner. My poor husband learned if he wants to eat, he had to learn to cook. And he did!He makes delicious things for us.And he's handy with a hammer. We are lucky girls:)

Most homes don't come with a housewarming gift from the previous owner.

How appropriate for Father's Day that you used Papa paprika for the feast.
