Have I mentioned that I have a grand baby? Have I mentioned just how special and precious she is? I'm kidding, of course I have. We have some good news on NEW grand babies. My oldest daughter is pregnant with twin girls and she now has a new due date. If she doesn't go into labor before May 22nd the doctor has decided to do a C-Section. Very very soon I will have 2 more grand babies to spoil. The bad part is that they will live in Ohio which is probably about 6-7 hours from where we live.
Amy and Jeremy have had a lot of trouble getting pregnant. When Amy was first pregnant she wasn't sure that she would be able to carry them to term. Bless her heart, she had lost 2 already and needless to say we were all on pins and needles for a while. But she is a trooper and she is doing GREAT! She has been on bed rest for about 5 weeks now, maybe 6 and I am sure she is ready to have the babes but certainly not before 36 weeks. She told her dad that she wants to be able to take the girls home when she goes home from the hospital. We all know that twins tend to be born early and generally are smaller than single pregnancies. But these two girls are over 5lbs each! I am so proud of Amy and how well she has handled the entire pregnancy. I can't say that I would have been as patient as she has been.
So, more than likely, we will be traveling to Ohio next month, if not the end of this month. I do want to be able to hold and smell the babes. If they are born early they will have to stay in the hospital until they are 36 weeks old. But thankfully it looks like they will stay in the oven until the dr takes them. Of course that could change in a heartbeat if she goes into labor.
The girls will be named Mia and Aubriella. Joe is so excited he just can't stand it. I wish there was some way some time that they could move back home. It is hard enough to go a week without seeing my precious Abby much less months to see these two beauties. All I can do is hope that pray that someday they will be closer. I believe that grand parents are a very important part of children's lives. But we shall see.
***EXCITING UPDATE*** Amy went into labor today and is having the babies as I type this! I hope to have pictures soon!
*****ANOTHER UPDATE***** The girls were born. They are 5/6 and 5/4. I can't wait to have pics to post.

5"6" and 5'4" are some big babies!
Congratulations, Grandmother!
Wow...I feel like I've been watching live Eyewitness news.
Very exciting! I know you can't wait to hold little Mio & Umbrella!
Congratulations!!! I can only imagine how excited you must be. Those are good sizes for twins. Can't wait to see the pictures. Abby will seem like such a big girl in comparison. It's amazing how a new baby (or babies!) make the other kids seem so grown all of a sudden. (Pretty names:) -- that Bill is a nut)
i cant wait until we go to ohio and see them
You changed those baby names on your blog from what you originally posted. You ain't foolin' me.
Oh, Lisa!!! You didn't tell Stephanie that she has to stay home and shovel horse poop and feed the neighbors' cows???
