It started like this
Mom? Are you ok?
Beth assured Abby she was fine, just ready for her sister to be born.
You sure you're ok Mom?
Such a doll. It was time to distract my precious from worrying about her mommy so I took a latex glove and blew it up. I took an ink pen out of my purse to draw a face but Abby wanted a picture of Sophie.....no Annie....no Sophie....no Annie, so I just drew a boxer.
Dare I say that Grandmother is the smartest person on this Earth? My precious played with this thing all night long!
She got candy........."which one Abby?" I kept asking her that until I got a good picture! She kept saying "The KitKat Grandmother!"
We walked downstairs but not on the cracks cause we would break her mama's back.
Mama must have said "ouch" this time
I think this was about when Abby said (and she literally did say it) "it's ok to break mama's back!"
Wheeeee!
We went outside to get some fresh air. That didn't last long cause it was hot!
(Note the 'Big Sister' tee shirt my precious is wearing)
Then is was just about time. Beth's contractions were getting unbearable.
Then, she was born. Joe was just outside the door and heard Beth scream out "MY BABY!" Then the nurse chased him out of the hallway. We knew it was almost time for Abby to finally, after all of these months to meet her little sister Leah.
I finally got a picture of the entire family. Thomas had been taking gobs of pictures himself.
Oh yall.....every single time I see this picture I get a huge lump in my throat. It is the very defination of love...Look at mama and daughter.
Good job Mama
Papa Joe held Leah
Then I washed my hands and he knew I was ready.
Oh My! I'm telling you folks, I am so blessed. Two grand babies within 3 weeks! Unbelievable. And get this, Emmeline and Leah were born exactly 3 weeks apart and weighed the same. 6lbs & 14oz. Now that my friends is cool.
