I am having trouble remembering what day it is. I guess that is bound to happen when your week starts out like mine did. But I am happy to report it is getting ever closer to the weekend. That is a good thing.
Driving to work this morning I was noticing yet again the tremendous amount of limbs and trees that most everyone, literally, has in their yard, fields, driveways, etc. It is truly incredible the amount of damage the January ice storm made. I imagine it will takes months to get things back to normal. We were lucky on that item and didn't lose any trees and have no limbs to clean up. So many trees will not make it this spring. I hate that but it could be worse, that's for sure.
Since our area was deemed a disaster by President Obama, we will get a lot of help to clean up. I was noticing the utility poles this morning. They are, for the most part, laying down close to where they once were and transformers and electrical equipment are scattered about. There have been reports of people stealing the transformers. These things can still have electricity running to them. They risk their life to steal something that could electrocute them when they touch it. To me, that is a new kind of stupid.
I forgot to post this picture of my pond. I thought it turned out really neat. What do you think?
I can't wait for spring and warm temperatures!
Us too Mom. It's cold out here!

Mother Nature is a force to be reckoned with. You are indeed lucky to not have much clean up after that storm. After Hurricane Ike the debris was as tall as I am and filled the entire back yard.
It looks like that duck is stuck in a frozen pond!
I have to hold my right hand over your sidebar when I read your posts because that "baby on a stick" thing makes me queezy. It looks alien.
The area is so sad looking. I'm so ready for spring like weather...my irises are coming up in the back...it gives me hope. scott too is having a hard time with what day it is....
You and So are getting getting forgetful! Soon you two will need the clapper to find your car keys. LOL (I amuse myself to no end!)
And I'm repeating words. OMG, it's contagious.
Daffodils are coming up here. Hard to believe.
