Today we remember Martin Luther King Jr. What a great man. I wish I could remember his speeches. I wish I could remember when he was saying what the nation needed to hear, even though so many didn't know they needed to hear it. I can not imagine how he is feeling now, seeing Obama being sworn in as president. How exciting!
I think the entire nation is exciting about our new President. We have so much hope. So much admiration. I am proud that I voted for him, proud that our nation has come so far as to elect a man with a white mother and a black father. A man elected to the highest office that that years ago would have been considered "someones property." This country has come a long way. I hope and pray it will continue to get better and better.

Well said. I am not even so excited about Obama as I am about how people are reacting to him. I haven't seen such enthusiasm since I was young, and it's coming from young and old alike. Life is so much more fun in a "we can do it" atmosphere!
Thank goodness, the last 8 years are behind us. There is nowhere to go but forward.
Yes, ma'am!
You know, it's kinda like what I think it was like when Kennedy was sworn in. I wasn't around then but I always wondered how the nation could get so excited about a president, I mean how bland! Now I think my generation will finally get it, FINALLY!
PS, I gave you an award on my blog, go check it out!
TB, I didn't vote for him because I disagree with most of his positions, but I do wish him the best for the sake of our country.
Dan
Thanks TB. ME too.
I am so glad that this is happening. I feel that this will be the presidency of my lifetime--the best ever. I have a lot of hope.
