My husband had a butt bob yesterday. For those of you who are wondering what that means it is what he calls a colonoscopy. I think it's kinda catchy. I took the day off of work to go with him. Things didn't go as expected. But, in my opinion, it was Joe's fault. As anyone who has had one of these fine procedures done knows there are strict limitations to what you can and cannot eat the day prior to the butt bob. Apparently Joe interpreted the instructions how he wanted to read them, not how they were written. The diet the day before must consist of a liquid diet and nothing with any red color in it.
When I had mine done 2 years ago I made sure I had some sugar free jello and plenty of chicken and beef broth. After all, what goes in must come out. My thoughts were to put as little in and I would benefit from that the rest of the day. Joe didn't do that.
He did have chicken broth to eat and did make sure he didn't drink any diet cola, only diet lemon-lime but what he had for breakfast is what did him in. He decided that he could have scrambled eggs, corned beef hash and toast for breakfast. As he was preparing it I picked up the instructions and noted it indicated "starting WITH breakfast eat only blah blah blah" I pointed that out to him as he was about to plate his food but he chose to not listen and ate it anyway. The result was that he didn't get fully "cleaned out" as the dr. put it. He drank all of the right stuff in order to get the results he needed but in my opinion since he ate the breakfast he did all of it didn't make its way out the back door.
Imagine his disappointment when the dr. informed him that she wasn't able to complete the butt bob due to items being present that were not supposed to be. She didn't act very professional in my opinion. He was clearly frustrated and she was as well but she really got smart with him. She told him it would need to be rescheduled. He did not like that one bit. He told her that he was not having it done again today, that he was not going 2 days without eating. So they are going to reschedule it for another time. I am hoping that he changes doctors as I did not care for her bedside manner one bit. I thought she was rude and selfish. Frankly, I wouldn't put up with it but that is up to him. I told him how I felt on the way home and later on that evening he told me that he had thought about it and that I was right. We'll see what he does but the bottom line is it will have to be done again. So there will be another day off of work for me and a miserable day for Joe preparing for it. Hopefully this time he will listen and do like he is supposed to. We shall see.

Is there anything more humbling than the colonoscopy prep? I think not. My husband lost eight pounds with his prep. I told him I had always thought he was full of s*** and now there was proof.
Ha ha Hula. Apparently Joe is STILL full of S***!!!
As an alcoholic, I hit my bottom several years ago, but in a different manner.
I have had that done and the stuff you drink is worse than the exam.
Think I should keep my mouth shut on this topic. Hehehe.
