Oh Well

I went shopping today but I went alone. Stephanie decided to go to her boyfriend's house so I went to town by myself. First stop was the hair salon for a haircut. It's nice and short, just like I like it. I was telling the little girl that was cutting it about my phone woes. She suggested a place at the mall that sells refurbished phones.

First I went by the AT&T store. The girl there told me that same thing that the idiots did over the phone. I just got up and walked out. I went to the mall and looked at the used phones but this guy wanted too much money for them. Now I am at home and have decided to buy one on EBay. They have some new ones for $100. I think I am going to get a LG CU500. Have any of you guys ever had one?

It's always great to get a new 'do, isn't it?
I have never used an LG but know people that do and like them. I was always a Samsung girl until I got my Blackberry. Good luck, I know phones can be frustrating!
P.S. My mom reads your blog. She never comments, but I know it's one that she reads! ;)

I have had my LG for about five years. I am getting ready to replace it now as it has been through the war, but still works. It is a flip phone, and if I open it all the way it goes blank, probably a lose wire or something, but I would definately buy another one!

We have had LG phones before and we've always had great experiences with them. We've killed them but it's totally by abusing them horribly, the dh is HARD on phones. Like really bad. You'll probably have a good experience with it, good luck!

I have AT&T for our cell phones and went through the same thing you're going through with my son's phone. It kept breaking and after replacing it twice, they said the warranty was up and we had to buy another one, since our contract wasn't up yet. Well, I did, but then when I washed my phone (stupid, I know), it worked for a while, but then quit. Soooo, I went to Radio Shack and bought a phone off the rack from them. They put my Sim card in it and I'm just using it. It's a good basic phone, cost me $50.

Lord, I need a hair cut.

A used phone is a good option, since some people replace them more frequently than they change their underwear. Be sure you buy from a reputable dealer, and that the phone isn't 'locked' to the former service provider.
Avoid Dixie Cups connected by string. They do not have a good range.

I don't understand this. I always get a free phone when I get a 2 year contract. I don't have a home phone, haven't for years.
I've been happy with T-Mobile.

I don't understand it either Lou. When I renewed my service I chose this phone but it keeps breaking, doing the same thing. Now, it has been over the 12 months since I first renewed and they won't cover the problem w/the phone, even though every one I have had keeps breaking. If it was time to renew I could get another nice phone by paying a little bit of money.
