We did get to see them

Last week, before Abby started back to school (she is in Kindergarten!) her Mommy & Daddy wanted to take her to the movies so I picked Leah up after work for a fun evening in the country (where she belongs I might add).

She is such a joy. Always happy, always smiling and just so glad to be around people that love her.



There just isn't much more in the world that makes me as happy as holding one of my precious grandbabies!



Dare I say I think someone else thinks the same thing!

Do you guys see the red hair? I thought it was a fluke when she was born. That the red wouldn't stay but it has! I think it is going to be gorgeous! I don't think, I know because it already is!



It didn't seem like anytime before Leah's parents showed up to take her home. But not before I was able to see my precious!!!!











Apparently the fireplace proved to be magical for the kids and the pups.





Now this is one thing that I just can't wrap my brain around. Wasn't it just last month that my precious was, well was like this

Being such a sweetheart?



Talking to her Mommy on the phone while coming back to the country?



And spinning on her Sit N' Spin?

It is amazing how time flies by. Abby is growing up way too fast. Leah is almost a year old. The other grandkids are over 2 and just turned 1. Oh My! When will this nightmare end?

Someone has the life of Riley

See that pup? That is what I would love to be doing right now. I woke up tired and sleepy this morning and no amount of caffeine seems to be making a dent yet.



There she is again, just doing whatever she wants to do while her big sister protects her.

But I reckon it's ok....after all, she is my baby. She sleeps with me every night without fail. I swear, she is a reincarnation of my Annie. And that my friends makes me a happy camper!

What is a grandmother to do? I am tempted to kidnap the whole lot of them and bring the all to the country where they belong. At least in my opinion. Of course no one asked me for my opinion. That has rarely stopped me however. Some things are just never learned. Actually I have improved on that as the years go by. But not by much!

It seems like I read somewhere that grandparents have the right to snatch up their grandkids and just take them home with them. Don't you guys agree? I know I didn't dream that and I would never ever make up such a thing. Isn't this a law? Surely some elected official somewhere has done SOMETHING about this horrible dilemma I find myself in.

If anyone out there in blogland knows what I can do PLEASE let me know! I am missing my sweet grandbabies so very much. I cry myself to sleep every night. Really, I do. I promise, and never mind that my fingers and toes are crossed when I promise that. Heck fire, I'll even pinky promise. Anything to get my babies where they belong!!!!!!
