Lou posted today about a bad moon and I have to agree with her. My nerves have been on edge for a while now. I have been trying very hard to work on keeping my mouth shut when it needs to be. Thinking of others feelings and just how I sound to them when I get in my 'moods'. After all, it is always easier to hurt the ones that we love the most. It is human nature. And I don't like it.
I talked to Ryan last night on the phone. He didn't really have much to say except that he wanted to come out to our house this weekend. He didn't say anything about why he didn't turn himself into the jail Monday except to say that he is definitely going to do it this Monday. Sounds like a cop out to me. Needless to say, this did not make me happy. It made me sad. Sad because even though Ryan has been sober for 7 weeks, he is no where close to being sober. He has not attended a single meeting even though his dad has been to a few. That of course is his decision. I can't do it for him. When I told him that Joe and I would talk about him coming out and get back to him he didn't like that. He wanted an answer right away. He didn't understand why I have to talk to Joe about it. I don't have to talk to Joe, I prefer to talk to Joe. I told him that we always discuss things like this. He was starting to whine and act like he has for so many years. This was very upsetting to me because it showed that he is still acting the same way. He has not done a thing to help himself. He has so much work to do and he isn't doing any of it.
I told Joe about the conversation afterwards and he didn't offer an opinion, just listened and understood which was exactly what I needed him to do. Ryan seems to think that Joe is the bad guy and influencing me in decisions that I have made regarding him. Nothing could be furthur from the truth. I am protecting myself. I am watching out for me and my mental health. He will never understand that until he gets the help that he needs.
So, as it stands today, I will not let him come out and spend the weekend with us. I plan on taking him to lunch this weekend and spending time with him. It isn't what he wants but let's face it...............this is not about what he wants.
As usual, last night as my head hit the pillow I turned it all over to God. We'll see what He has to say about it.

Calgon Take me Away!
That is how I have felt the past few days at work. There isn't enough time in the day to complete what I need to. There are new reports to create and send, material to enter and check and orders to get ready and ship. AAK! I can't seem to get ahead even for a few minutes. So what do I do? I stop to take a break and post.
We have been having absolutely gorgeous weather this week. It is expected to extend into the weekend which I am really looking forward to. After such a rainy October (we broke a record for the amount of rainfall) everyone in these parts is ready for a break. I have also been enjoying driving to work in the daylight this week. I know that it won't last but a few weeks and the dreaded darkness will come back, but in the meantime it is nice to be able to see the deer that are trying to cross in front of my vehicle.
Speaking of my vehicle, I finally got it out of the shop today. The window was fixed (motor was out) and a new starter put on. We are really fortunate to have such an honest mechanic. I have had some dealings with mechanics in my lifetime and most all of them have tried to take advantage of me because I am a woman. Needless to say, I have stuck to my guns and never been ripped off. It pays to be tough sometimes. I learned that a long time ago.
Patty is doing well at home. She and Sophie play so much. They both open their mouths just like she and Annie used to do. It is nice. Patty loves her bones (chewies) too. She loves to pounce on them like only a puppy can do. When I relax in the evenings I love to keep the tv off and just watch them and how they interact with each other. It brings a smile to my face and relieves any tension or pressure I might have not left at the office.
I sent some pictures of Patty to the original owners this weekend. I wanted to make sure that the little girl knew that she was happy and had a good home.
That's about it for now. I have to get back to work. I hope everything is going well with you folks.

Grandkids Galore!
We went into town yesterday to see the grandkids dressed up for Halloween. Such sweetness.
Leah was a flower.

Flower....pretty flower. Isn't she a doll? She was so good too, except for when Grandmother held her right before we left. Let me just say that this girl at 2 months old can clear a room with one 'poot' LOL
Then there was Abby. My sweet Abby.

She was a boxer. A very cute boxer I might add.

**cue Rocky music**

Abby decided to push Papa Joe's sunglasses down on his face. Naturally I had my camera ready!

Sugars for my sugars

I can't believe how much I look like my Dad in this picture. But never mind me. Leah is the star of this show!

Well, Leah and her sister are the stars in my book! Guess who else are stars in my book?

Mia

and her sister Auby
They live in Ohio (boooooooo!) but their mommy and daddy sent us this pictures when we got home.

and sister Emmeline. The very definition of a princess yall.

Someone remind me just how lucky and blessed I am the next time I start to feel sorry for myself.
