It has been fixed, or so the road department says. I'm not too sure.
After driving over it a few times it feels real soft. I don't know why they do such a halfway job on these roads. If they would just take the time to fix them right the first time they could probably forget about it for a while.
They pushed a great deal of rock to the side and almost into the creek. I can just see Jones right now as I try to get her to cross it. There is no way she will and you know what? There is no way I would even try to make her.
On another note our neighbors Mr and Mrs Cannon have sold all but 7 of their Texas Longhorn cattle. I'm gonna miss these guys.
But the ice storm we had in late January did it. It caused so much damage that had to be cleaned up. Mr and Mrs Cannon have had enough of it. They just couldn't keep up with the work anymore. Mrs Cannon cried when the guy came to get the cattle. She didn't want to let them go but she knew she had too.
Sometimes you do what you have to do. But it's ok. It always works out.
