Leah is 1!!!!!!
Her party was held at the local park Saturday.
I was thrilled to see that Leah's great grandparents were able to be there. They live in Michigan and made a special effort to be here for the happy occasion.
I had only met them once before and was so happy to see them again. Joe is still very close with them (they are his x-wife's parents). It is so nice to see that some folks can stay true to themselves and who they care about no matter what might have happened to a marriage. To me, that shows character like nothing else.
Steph hates to have her picture taken. Isn't she silly?
My precious and her cousin McKenzie. I tried stealing kenzie's ever so precious Disney hat several times. She giggled every time.
Abby loving on her great grandmother!
See that picture? That is my goal. To be able to hug MY great grandchildren. I can't even imagine how thrilling that must be!
There's the birthday girl!! Look at that red hair.
We were all thrilled that the pony showed up. All of the little kids were looking forward to pony rides.
It was finally time for the cake!
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Leah, happy birthday to you!!!!!"
She snuck a bite!!!!
Have at it Leah!!!
Mommy gave her a few pointers
And that was all she needed!
Daddy, Mommy & Leah
"Hi Grandmother!"
Beth had told us that Leah really loved this little pink rocking horse and could even get on it herself. Papa Joe promptly scored one at Toys R' Us. After all, he is married to Trailboss and this horse lover wants to make all of my grandkids horse lovers too!
I think she liked it.
What a fun day. All of the kids were good, no getting in trouble at all! The other kids had cupcakes (us adults too!). They were really tasty. Much better than storebought or the ones that come with a party. Much cheaper too!
Oh yes my friends.........a good time was had by all.

We did get to see them
Last week, before Abby started back to school (she is in Kindergarten!) her Mommy & Daddy wanted to take her to the movies so I picked Leah up after work for a fun evening in the country (where she belongs I might add).
She is such a joy. Always happy, always smiling and just so glad to be around people that love her.
There just isn't much more in the world that makes me as happy as holding one of my precious grandbabies!
Dare I say I think someone else thinks the same thing!
What a doll!
Do you guys see the red hair? I thought it was a fluke when she was born. That the red wouldn't stay but it has! I think it is going to be gorgeous! I don't think, I know because it already is!
It didn't seem like anytime before Leah's parents showed up to take her home. But not before I was able to see my precious!!!!
Apparently the fireplace proved to be magical for the kids and the pups.
Now this is one thing that I just can't wrap my brain around. Wasn't it just last month that my precious was, well was like this
Getting her Grandmother a flower?
Attempting to take my picture?
Being such a sweetheart?
Talking to her Mommy on the phone while coming back to the country?
And spinning on her Sit N' Spin?
It is amazing how time flies by. Abby is growing up way too fast. Leah is almost a year old. The other grandkids are over 2 and just turned 1. Oh My! When will this nightmare end?
