Summertime
I like my flowerpot. It smells so sweet and lovely. I have to keep it watered regularly since we have had no rain in forever. I took that picture about a week ago and now I have no yellow flower. Maybe next week.
Today is like Wednesday to me and tomorrow is like Friday. I will have a four day weekend and I am looking so forward to some more time off. Time off of work has never been sweeter for me. I haven't been sleeping well which makes for a tired Trailboss at work.
Yesterday I went to my wonderful doctor for my quarterly checkup. My BP is up, my knee hurts, let's see, I'm not sleeping well, my sugar was a tad high and it is time for another stress test. I have reached my total out of pocket on insurance yet again which makes it time for tests to be completed.
Oh, the doctor told me that my problem with sleeping is more than likely due to the "change of life." Imagine that. One more thing to thank Eve for. Geez. He gave me Ambien 5mg. Have any of you guys taken that before? I have heard and read it can do some strange things to you. Like amnesia. Oh my.....I have enough trouble remembering what I did 5 minutes ago. At least now I can have something to blame it on.
I have downloaded a couple of programs on my home computer that seem to have found some things to delete. Hopefully this will help. I have been posting from work since I can post pictures here and not at home.
I guess that's all for now. Unless I forgot something in which case I will remember and then forget before I can get back on for a post script.

Astro
One of Sophie's pups came to visit yesterday. And boy did he and Sophie have some fun.
Meet Sir Astro of St. John.....Astro for short. Isn't he a doll?
Annie felt a little left out though.
That always seems to happen whenever one of her pups comes to visit. I love that fact that the pups remember their mommy and of course Sophie remembers them too. She and Astro ran and ran and ran.
Annie isn't sure about this boy. Look at the expression on her face.
Hi Mom!
Allow me to protect you.
Awwwwwwwwwww
Annie walked over to join the group.
Please excuse the layer of spit on Annie's head. When you get 3 boxers together there is bound to be saliva flying everywhere.
Na na na na boo boo!
I told Annie to be nice to our guest and not stick out your tounge.
Sophie isn't paying any attention but Annie is giving Astro the evil eye don't you think?
At least until she saw that he was a good guy after all. He belongs to our farrier who doesn't live too far from us. Steph asked him to bring Astro yesterday and he was happy to oblidge.
What a handsome boy. It was such a treat to see him.

Ugh, a problem
I have been trying to post all day long but my pictures will not post. I think something is going on with my computer so I am going to run my virus scan again tonight. I also need a site for good malware and spyware removal. If anyone has any suggestions of what is best I would appreciate it. I understand there are many that are free.

Michael 1958 - 2009
I, like so many others, was so saddened by the news of Michael Jackson last night. I have always felt sorry for him because he never felt loved his entire life. His dad should be ashamed of his behavior, at least in my opinion. I don't think that he ever abused anyone in his entire life. In fact, I dare to say he may have died a virgin. He has acted in very bizarre ways over the years, including dangling his infant child over a railing. Now that was wrong. But as far as the accusations of sexual abuse, I believe was for money only. He was an easy target, rich, strange and loved children. He did a lot for children all of his adult life. I feel he was a child in an adult body. And I am not alone in this thought.
I have enjoyed him for as long as I remember. He was the Jackson Five. Everyone knew that including his father. All Michael ever wanted was to please his father. Apparently his dad was a hard guy to please. I know he was hard on all of the kids but from what I have seen and read I think he put more pressure on Michael. It could be that Michael was just more sensitive than the others. I'll never know. All I can say is this..........
R.I.P. Michael Jackson. I hope you are finally at peace.

I love this girl
When I got pregnant with her I wanted a daughter. I never found out the sex before she was born because I already knew. I knew the baby was my daughter. And I was right! Just like I knew I was having a son in 1981. You gals that have had kids know what I mean.
The day she was born I was not married to Joe. But he held her within the first 8 hours of her birth. He happened to be at the hospital with his mother when I gave birth. I can remember lying flat on my back (I had a spinal) and watching him goo-goo and ga-ga holding her lovingly in his arms. Joe was my best friend then. Actually he still is. Anyway, the point is that Stephanie has been a part of Joe's life since birth.
When she was 2 yrs old I finally had enough of her biological father and we divorced. Ryan, Steph and myself moved out of the big rental house to a smaller house in the same school district. Joe and I worked at the same place. After a while we started dating. He was then a big part of Steph's life. Ryan's too. He stayed at my house most every night for a long time. We finally decided to buy a house together just down the road from my little rental house. I can remember my dad telling me that he was not comfortable with the fact the new house was only in Joe's name and I was putting in several thousand dollars. I told Dad to not worry, Joe would never do anything like he was thinking. Dad was just being a good daddy.
We married in January of 1996 at the courthouse. I had on a denim skirt and blouse and he had on his work tee shirt and jeans. I had to tell him to leave his company radio in the truck while we went in. Meanwhile about this time Steph's real father saw her from time to time but things were not good. He was a alcoholic and a druggie. Finally I put my foot down and told him she couldn't be around him anymore until he stopped his awful behavior.
Seven years went by before she heard a word from him. Stephanie asked us several times over that 7 yrs why her dad didn't love her. It was very sad to hear and broke our hearts every time. The only thing we could say was that we did not know and that it was his loss. We had moved to our current house and were settling in nicely. I received a letter in the mail from a lawyer. Tom (her father) wanted to see her. Naturally I freaked out. I wasn't going to just allow this without finding out what he was like.
We got in touch with his attorney and explained our concerns. Eventually we met with him at another attorney's office to work things out. We learned that he had indeed changed, had stopped drinking and smoking pot. I insisted on a drug test and he passed with flying colors. Joe took her to meet him the first time. Steph told Joe that she was nervous and scared. Of course she was. This person was a stranger to her. But eventually they got to know each other again and things were working out. She was tickled to spend time with him and he spoiled her with all kinds of things.
But things started changing a few months ago. He wouldn't spend any time with her when she was at his apartment. He would stay upstairs in his bedroom with the door locked on his computer. Then he started treating her in a manner that was all too familiar. It was the same way he used to treat Ryan. He would be so happy with other kids but when he came to his own he was just down right mean. 3 weeks ago she was there and I called her. She was not happy. I told her to tell him to bring her home right away and if he had any questions to call me. He brought her home and she has not been back. I don't know if she will ever go back. It is hard to explain except to say that a mom knows when things aren't right and things are not right at his house.
She called him about 10 days or so and asked him why he had not called her. He gave a lame excuse that he thought she was mad at him. To me, that would be all the more reason to call if you thought that. But not to him. One thing led to another and suddenly she lit into him. She let it all out. I wasn't home but Joe was listening on the other phone. Apparently she made some very valid points about how he was acting. He didn't know what to do so he yelled back at her. She eventually hung up on him. Please know that Stephanie has never talked this way to an adult. But I'm telling you folks he deserved it. He had been leaving her at his house and going to see his pill popping slut girlfriend (I know she is this way because Ryan knows her and he told me) every night she was there. That is just a fraction of the BS he had been doing. Joe is keeping up with the days since he has not called her.
She asked me last week how old she had to be before Joe could adopt her and not need her father's consent. I told her probably 18 which she will be in October. So guess what? Come next year we will have another Williamson in the house. And her first name will be Stephanie.

September 2008 ride
I found some pictures on my Sony camera from last year. I remember the ride, it was when Jones took a bad step and I slipped out of the saddle. It's a wonder neither one of us was hurt.
I love the view from the back of a horse. Their ears flicking back and forth. Every time I say something one of Jones' ears goes back to hear what I am saying. A lot of people don't realize how much a horse uses their ears. Did you know that if a horse gets water in their ears it will kill them?
See the ear? I must have been saying something to her.
Dakota was happy she was back.
You can tell the difference in the quality of photos taken with the Sony and with my newest camera, the Cannon.
I swear, if it wasn't going to be 689 degrees today I would ride her when I get home. Maybe in September.

Slip n' Slide fun
Abby had a great time on the slip n' slide Sunday. She was going to play in the sprinkler but it stopped working. Joe saved the day by remembering the slip n' slide we bought 2 years ago.
Look at that tounge. She's into to it.
There's her pregnant Mama.
Hello my precious.
Annie doesn't like water but Sophie had fun too!
What a great day. I don't think Abby stopped smiling one time. I also felt my new unborn grandbaby kick for the first time Sunday. It took a while but patience paid off.

Happy Father's Day
Joe had a nice surprise today for Father's Day. Beth and Abby came out this morning. I knew about it but he didn't. When they got here he still didn't know and Abby went into his room with a homemade father's day card that she had written herself. It was green with a big red heart on the front. What a nice surprise for him.
I made a big breakfast of bacon, sausage, hash browns, scrambled cheesy eggs and biscuits and gravy. Oh my! It was so good. Joe really appreciated it. Afterwards we settled into the living room for a few minutes and I motioned for Steph to get his present and cards in my closet.
I might mention now that Joe rarely wears a shirt around the house during the summer.
First the cards. My favorite part!
All together now........awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
Then he opened his present.
Here he said his girls will always be right next to his heart. So sweet.
Look at that smile! He was very happy.
Last but not least, here he loves on the girls.
Shortly after that we set up the Slip n' Slide for Abby. She had a grand time. Pictures to come of course.
Happy Father's Day to all of the fathers in the world. "Any man can make a baby but it takes a real man to be a father." Amen.
