Last night we went to the fair. And to the demolition derby.
First, the fair. Joe and I don't ride rides. I hate them. He does too. We walked around to see what was going on.
Your choice, fried snickers, oreos, how about just a heart attack on a stick? Or lemonade.
This was when I wished we had Abby with us. Look at the kiddie rides!
The little boy in the blue shirt was scared to death on this ride. He kept looking at his Mama to make sure she was still there rooting him on.
Try your luck Joe. You might win a quipie doll!
Then there was this strange character. He kept dancing and acting like he was marching. See that boy looking at him? It was just downright odd.
Speaking of odd
This one is one of those gravity items. You couldn't pay me enough money to get in that one.
Plus we had just eaten dinner and that would have been ugly.
I tried to get a picture of some of Steph's friends but this contraption was going way too fast.
We ran into Greg, Steph's boyfriend.
Young love, first love..................................
Then we finally settled in for some action baby.
This was my favorite. I named her "The Headed One."
They made quite a mess
Finally it was time to head home. I took one last time down the midway for some more pictures
They look a lot better at night.
This makes me dizzy just looking at it!
This old man had a great time with the kids. I told him that he'd better be or else I'd get Barney Fife to take care of it.
I tried to get Joe to win me a Barney prize but he refused. How rude!
Stephanie and her friends rode this! She said she didn't think she would ride it again.....EVER!
I guess short shorts are back in this year. We saw a lot at the fair. And some of those gals should have been arrested. You know what I mean?
We finally got home and I went straight to bed. I dreamed all night long.
I kept dreaming that these things were laughing at me. Pig things.
And clown things.
Oh MY! And green things. They were all laughing at me and wouldn't stop.
Then I woke up.

Thanks to all
After I went by the nursery last week I stopped by a local funeral home. My parents funerals were held there in 1999. Outside is a Veteran's Memorial Garden.
There are many bricks with names on them. I remember when Dad's was first installed. His last name was misspelled. I notified them and it was corrected.
I noticed another familiar name while I was there.
I knew this man for my entire life. All of these folks have families and loved ones they left behind.
As I stood there I looked at many many bricks. I thought of all of the stories they could tell. Times they had while serving their country and protecting our freedom.
I love the flag there. It's so majestic.
I have so much to be thankful for. Especially you Dad. Thanks for you.

Flower?.....Pretty Flower???
Who else loves that line from Bambi? I can remember when I first saw Bambi at the theater in downtown Paducah. Awwww, those were the days.
Yesterday I finally got by my favorite nursery, Wurth Farms, and found some great flowers. I planted them this evening. I tried to get all of the colors I could find. What do you think?
I also finally planted my herbs...that is, what is left of them. Parsley and one lonely basil plant.
This is a Jade plant I bought for myself for Mother's Day a few weeks back.
I got a bit dizzy taking that picture. As I looked at this post I realized there are several items that need to be picked up on my porch. I am sure my brother has already noticed and it is no doubt causing him much anxiety. He is a bit OCD don't ya know. I'll have to pen a 'honey-do list' for my sweet husband next week. Speaking of my husband he told me today that he hates that I have to go back to work Monday. He told me that he has had so much fun with me this week. Isn't shat sweet? I have had fun too. I love to have a partner in life that I truly enjoy being with. That's what isn't all about isn't it?

Lazy Blogger is me
I have been sleeping late and lounging around the house so much this week I have just been lazy. A lazy blogger. But I have enjoyed every second of no workie for me. I did manage to get my butt up for a while yesterday for some pictures. Heeeeeeereee's Johnny!
A walk to the pond wouldn't be complete without a picture of my babies.
I think Papa Goose is teaching babies how to eat from the pond.
I walked on the side of the pond where they were to try to get some closeups but they said no way human. I love to see them swimming.
This just takes my breath away. So sweet, so serene.
They are moving in this one!
My daughter was told that the only way to tell the sex of the babies is how they react when they get out of water. A female will squat or sit when she gets out and a male won't. Yall ever heard of that?
This is where they get shade. Can't say I blame them for that. If it wasn't for the snakes and turtles I would like to get under there.
More of my babies.
Wait just a minute. Why is there a fence between Jones and Dakota? That isn't right. After I walked up the hill I found out why. Jones had managed to get into the back pasture. I really need to mend that fence. I forgot all about it! I walked out and got her back into the dry lot. She had not been there too long because she only got a small drink of water.
Hello mean-ass. He bullies every single horse he has ever been pastured with. He's a sweetie though when it comes to everything else.
