I don't think I would mind a long commute as long as the view was pretty. I lived in MD a long time ago and did a long rural commute and I thought was just gorgeous. I would just love to live out in the country but it's just not pracrical for us right now. When my son turned 6 years old we w...I agree Jenn. When my son turned 6 years old we were living in Texas, the outskirts of Houston in a little town called Alvin. It was a nice little town but way too close to the big city so I decided I wanted to raise my son back home, here in Kentucky. I have never ever regretted moving back home. In fact, a few years ago, my son thanked me for moving back here. He said that he wouldn't have wanted to grow up anywhere else.
