Oh Geez, Not again Mom

Dakota is troubled. He is troubled because his baby Jones is once again in heat. Poor Dakota being a gelding doesn't know what to do about it because first of all he isn't interested in sex because, well he is a gelding and missing some important parts of a male. Plus all he could do is shoot blanks anyway.

He came up to me yesterday and we had a talk.

"Mom, what am I going to do?" he asked. "She keeps putting that thing in front of me and I don't care but I don't want to hurt her feelings. Plus I don't want her to know that I am no longer a stud daddy (pimpdaddy in Jones' mind)."

"She keeps looking bewildered."

I told him that I see that.

"Mom, am I not pretty enough for my Pimpdaddy?" she asked me. I told her that she is a beautiful mare and don't let anyone tell her different. "But why doesn't he want me, you know, in that way?" Geez what do you say? I told her that he was gay!!!! After all, what can you say to a horny equine? She told me that sure explained it. Now she is a happy mare and looking off in the distance for another Pimpdaddy. Silly mare.

"Look Mom, he is looking for a stud too!"

She told me that she is still going to flirt with him. After all he is all she has and she thinks she can "change" him......yea right!

Then I told her that to have a gay guy friend is the best kind of friend. So she just settled into acceptance that her pimpdaddy is not what she thought. In fact she will be able to tell him all kinds of things just like a girlfriend and they will have a fantastic friendship. She will tell him all about the local studs and ooh and ahh over them and he will put up with it because, well, what else can he do? Poor Dakota. Someone took his "manhood" from him and he didn't have a choice in the matter. But such as it is in the equine world.

"Maybe this won't be so bad after all Mom." I assured her it would be grand.

Then they left.

After all it was raining and they had more sense than me. I was out in the rain taking pictures.

Don't believe anyone that tells you that horses are dumb animals cause they are the ones that knew to run to the lean-to in order to get out of the rain.

Myself, well I had to run to the house covering the camera the whole time!
